Brief Biography

Vladimir Sklyar received PhD (2001) and MS (1992) degrees in cybernetics in Kharkov Military University (Ukraine). Hi is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Systems and Networks of National Aerospace University "KhAI" which he joined in 2002. He is also a leading scientist of Ukrainian State Scientific Technical Center on Nuclear and Radiation Safety which is supported by the organization of Ukrainian Regulatory Authority in an atomic energy branch. His professional activity includes expert reviews of computer systems and software safety, technical consulting in following areas: software and control systems development for aerospace industry and power engineering, management of software verification and validation processes. Vladimir Sklyar's research interests are in safety-critical computer systems, hardware and software development and dependability assessment.
