1 (15 May 2007)  DeSSerT

The second international scientific-technical conference DeSSerT 2007 (Dependable Systems, Services and Technologies), was held on April 25–27 in Kirovograd, Ukraine on the basis of Research and Production Corporation "RADIY".

     The Organizers of conference:

          - National Aerospace University "KhAI";

- Research and Production Corporation "RADIY";

- Poltava Military Institute of Communication;

- Ukrainian of Section – IEEE.

149 reports from 12 countries (Ukraine, the Russian Federation, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Ireland, Jordan, Iran, Moldova, Poland, Syria, the USA, and Germany) were represented. More then 150 patricians had taken a part in conference among them the chairman of Ukrainian State Committee of nuclear regulation Mrs. Elena Mikolaychuk.

To combine efforts of specialists, scientists, lecturers, engineers and students who works in area of dependable computers systems, services and technologies for critical and business-critical applications and to assistance in problem-solving of this area, it was decided to establish nonprofit organization DeSSerT Club, to accept the club-law and to elect doctor, professor Vyacheslav Kharchenko as the president of DeSSerT Club.

The participants of DeSSerT Conference express ones thanks to conference organizers and guidance of Research and Production Corporation "RADIY", especially to Mr. Alexander Siora.

2 (13 Apr 2007)  Tempus   Project

The first short-term study visit to Newcastle and London was carried out at February-March 2007 within Tempus project aimed at development of Master and Doctoral courses on Aerospace Critical Computing. The staff list included local coordinator prof. 

V. Kharchenko, course developers Dr. A. Gorbenko and Dr. O. Tarasyuk, assistant to local coordinator Mr. A. Boyarchuk. The KhAi group has visited School of Computer Science, Newcastle University and School of Software Reliability, City University, London. During the visit the meeting with assigned UK experts were implemented, the set of relevant materials were obtained, the next steps and key milestones of project implementation were adjusted.
